In case you’ve been hiding under a rock (or Iraq), it’s tax season.
Don’t you think you — the tax-payer — to whom Congress is accountable, should know where all your tax money goes?
“Well, Social Security, Medicare, education!” Yes, this is true. But what about funding illegal oil wars? And those billion dollar no-bid contracts to the Vice President’s old company? Those things aren’t as fun to support huh?
Do you think we spend more building schools for our own children or bombs to blow up the schools of Iraqi children? You want to see how disgusting it really is? Would you believe 64% of our income tax goes to the military?
Sad but true. Read it, weep, then get angry and PAY ATTENTION.

Remember the good ole’ days when you could protest a war by withholding your taxes? Sure is hard to do now that the money’s taken out of your paycheck before you even see it, how convenient.
V was right, there is something terribly wrong with this country.
By the way— what law is it exactly that says regular wage earners must pay income tax? Can anyone find that one for me? Ed Brown’s looking for it too.
