As always, I will maintain my skepticism of the official story until I hear otherwise. Either way — she will be missed, and my thoughts go out to her family and friends, as well as the constituents she represented.

My hat’s off to you, Peter! This is what we MUST keep doing. Meeting these people everywhere they turn. (By “these people” I mean everyone who has blood on their hands— whether they’re a politician, reporter, media personality, etc.) Bring your cameras. Get video. Get audio. Ask questions. Demand answers and accountability.

I sometimes get crap from people when I show them videos from my friends with We Are Change, many disagree with their methods. But you know what? At this stage in the game, it’s the right thing to do. What are our other options for being heard at this point?

The time for politeness is long gone. While we sit here and patiently raise our hands waiting to ask our questions— i.e. working within the system— people keep dying. Enough is enough. We must BE THE CHANGE we wish to see.

I encourage everyone to find the closest We Are Change chapter and get involved with them. If there isn’t one around you, start one. Keep track of when politicians are in your area, get tickets, and be there waiting. Ask them the hard questions. Get it on tape. Become their new best friend.

I used to view this issue as one of absolute necessity and importance. Something MUST be done, or else we’re left with this in our future:

While part of me is secretly glad that Comcast was punished for their questionable business practices, one must keep in mind that the FCC is a federal agency and Comcast is a publicly-owned company. The U.S. Constitution says nothing about the federal government meddling in the affairs of businesses (it also says nothing about using these companies to spy on Americans, but that’s a whole other matter.)

Of course I don’t agree with their business practices and I’m very glad they aren’t my ISP. However — in a Free Market we wouldn’t need government intervention to deal with this sort of problem, we would simply leave them as a customer. Alas, we quite obviously do NOT live in a Free Market society and telecommunications monopolies are a bitter reality. In my apartment complex, for example, the only cable/internet option is Time Warner. Which means either I pay their outlandish price every month or I get static.

The issue of Net Neutrality is a perfect example of how the Free Market could be used to solve consumer problems instead of asking the government for help. Instead of being forced to put up with whatever sketchy access Comcast decided to give its customers, people could simple choose another ISP. Another bonus– the Free Market doesn’t eat up our tax dollars.

Obama was asked yesterday by my friends with We Are Change Ohio about the Federal Reserve and the dollar crisis — aka the ECONOMY, stupid.

Being the perfect puppet that he is, his response was that “the dollar can be strengthened again once our economy is strengthened.”

Yes, that was really his response. So it has nothing to do with the money supply, eh? Nothing to do with printing and printing until we run out of ink? Money backed by gold is just a silly thing of the past? We just need more “faith” and suddenly our dollars become worth something again? Why didn’t anybody else think of that?!

Now I finally understand what the big deal is with Obama. He’s BRILLIANT!

Of course the crowd clapped wildly at such a marvelous answer. Such good little sheep…

Pay no attention to this pesky data Mr. Obama!

He then feigned ignorance when asked about his foreign policy advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski.

In case you’ve never heard of this elitest puppeteer, he co-founded the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller and has all kinds of shady past political dealings I could cite here. He’s Dick Cheney’s soul mate, basically. Nothing about him says “CHANGE.”

At the end of the video you’ll also see Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, and Senator Obama asked whether they’d support a new 9/11 investigation that the family members are calling for. All of them responded by not responding.

Whoever is considering throwing away their vote on this puppet of the elites and bankers, please consider the impact it will have on your children and how you will go about raising them in a depression. Do you know how to collect and purify rainwater? Do you know how to can your own food after you’ve harvested it? Do you know how to speak Chinese? Do you know how to start a fire using Federal Reserve Notes as kindling? If not, you may want to reconsider your vote.

07/30 UPDATE: Looks like we just missed Bush in Cleveland yesterday! Dang. Maybe next time. I’ve set up a Google News RSS feed so I’ll be on top of things next time.

Very intrigued by the recent story of 4 people being arrested in Iowa for trying to make a citizen’s arrest of Karl Rove, I decided to look in the Ohio Revised Code to see what our local laws say about the subject. Indeed we are entitled to make citizen arrests:

2935.04 When any person may arrest

When a felony has been committed, or there is reasonable ground to believe that a felony has been committed, any person without a warrant may arrest another whom he has reasonable cause to believe is guilty of the offense, and detain him until a warrant can be obtained.

2935.06 Private person making arrest

A private person who has made an arrest pursuant to section 2935.04 [see above] of the Revised Code or detention pursuant to section 2935.041 of the Revised Code shall forthwith take the person arrested before the most convenient judge or clerk of a court of record or before a magistrate, or deliver such person to an officer authorized to execute criminal warrants who shall, without unnecessary delay, take such person before the court or magistrate having jurisdiction of the offense. The officer may, but if he does not, the private person shall file or cause to be filed in such court or before such magistrate an affidavit stating the offense for which the person was arrested.

Ohio is going to be very active in the next few months as the election gets closer. I say it’s time we start exercising our citizen’s arrest rights, what a powerful tool we have that we aren’t using!

That means if any member of the Bush Administration (war crimes, 9/11, etc.), John McCain (FEC violations), or Obama (violating the Logan Act with his Bilderberg attendance) etc. even steps foot in Ohio — we can get them.

Here are a few felonies to start with (and this is only Bush):

It’s time to take matters into our own hands. It’s obvious Congress (with a few notable exceptions) has NO intention of holding the Bush Regime accountable for any of their crimes.

So what say ye, my fellow Ohioans, ready to roll up your sleeves and fill up our prisons?

Today at 10am, Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich (the only good Democrat in Congress) will be presenting his case for the impeachment of George W. Bush to the Judiciary Committee. (NO THANKS to Chairman John Conyers Jr., who has stonewalled impeachment efforts for YEARS.)

The six areas to be explored by the hearing are:

1. improper politicization of the Justice Department and the U.S. Attorneys offices, including potential misuse of authority with regard to election and voting controversies;
2. misuse of executive branch authority and the adoption and implementation of the so-called unitary executive theory, including in the areas of presidential signing statements and regulatory authority;
3. misuse of investigatory and detention authority with regard to U.S. citizens and foreign nationals, including questions regarding the legality of the administration’s surveillance, detention, interrogation, and rendition programs;
4. manipulation of intelligence and misuse of war powers, including possible misrepresentations to Congress related thereto;
5. improper retaliation against administration critics, including disclosing information concerning CIA operative Valerie Plame, and obstruction of justice related thereto; and
6. misuse of authority in denying Congress and the American people the ability to oversee and scrutinize conduct within the administration, including through the use of various asserted privileges and immunities.

Pretty easy points to argue! GO KUCINICH — you make me proud to be from Ohio!

Also, a memorial service for Katie Reider will be held at 11am this Saturday (July 26th) at Crossroads Church, 3500 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio. Hope to see you there.

Katie Reider
1978-2008

A friend and favorite musician of mine (and many of my friends) passed away this morning after a courageous two-year battle with a mysterious illness called a Myofibroblastic Inflammatory Tumor.

It’s about the saddest ending one could conceive of for one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met. Everyone knew Katie. She made us all feel like her close friends. Everyone would swear when she was singing, she was looking right at them and nobody else.

But it’s not her ending we must remember, it’s her life and her spirit. She touched sooooo many people’s lives. So many friends from different parts of my life were connected through her music. It’s amazing what one person can do.

There will be a candlelight vigil for her tonight at 9pm at the Goodale Park Gazebo. I hope some of you read this in time and can join us.

Most importantly— Please help her music live on. Listen to it yourself and pass it on to a friend.

We love you Katie, and will miss you. Your family will be in our thoughts.
