Police, fire, service leaders remember 9/11

An organization called Columbus 9/11 Truth made its way to the front of the crowd with its large sign. The 9/11 truth movement questions the U.S. government’s official explanation for what happened that day, and seeks further investigation.

When the protesters first approached the speakers’ area with its sign, a few residents attempted to push them out of the way. Quickly and quietly, police officers stopped what could have become a confrontation, and peace prevailed.

Not only was our presence prominently featured in the article, there is no use of the phrase “conspiracy theorists” or anything pejorative (yes, apparently now theorizing has a negative connotation) we usually expect to see in mainstream media mentions.

Why is the U.S. Air Force “standing down” tomorrow?

How is this good for national security after the Boogeyman has just magically and conveniently resurfaced? How is this an appropriate response to “accidentally” flying 6 nukes across the country last month? Why are we announcing our vulnerability? To try and provoke an attack so we have a pretext for attacking Iran? Or will we just attack ourselves again?

“…the entire Air Combat Command will stand down for a day following the incident involving the B-52 bomber that transported nuclear-armed missiles without the crew’s knowledge.

The Air Force Times reported that the entire command – about 100,000 active-duty airmen – will be in military classrooms on Friday. The stand down was ordered by the Air Combat Command chief General Ronald Keys.

[Christian radio talk show host] Rick Wiles said he is stunned by the stand down orders. “Does General Keys know that Osama bin Laden recently resurfaced?” asked Wiles. “Why would America’s entire Air Combat Command stand down precisely when America’s top enemy stands up?

Wiles said Gen. Keys’ stand down orders came as CIA Director General Michael Hayden told the Council on Foreign Relations that al-Qaeda’s leadership is planning high-impact plots against the United States of America “that would produce mass casualties, dramatic destruction and significant economic aftershocks.”

Wiles said, “There’s something wrong with this picture. The CIA chief is openly warning that al-Qaeda is plotting attacks on U.S. soil that could kill large numbers of Americans and wreck our economy. At the same time, the commander of the Air Combat Command has told al-Qaeda and every other enemy that we won’t have air defenses for an entire day or longer.”

Regardless of whether you believe that Osama is the boogeyman (I obviously don’t) — the fact is, this is suspicious WTF-is-going-on kind of s—t. PrisonPlanet.com seems to think this is an attempt to discredit the 9/11 Truth movement now that it’s really gaining momentum.

But even Air America is talking about this, and that’s inching a bit closer to mainstream media. Yesterday the Randi Rhodes Show discussed it, and last night the Clout show spoke up. Not only about this, but also the connection with 9/11 Truth and false-flag terrorism. I could hardly believe what I was hearing on the radio. TRUTH for a change!

Alarmist, perhaps. But there are real dots to connect:

I can only say so much, there’s the info, take it how you wish. I’m done feeling guilty and burdened by other people’s ignorance and apathy. Wolf! Wolf! Wolf? You decide.

If nothing else, stay vigilant.

Zogby poll released today - 51% of Americans Want Congress to Probe Bush/Cheney Regarding 9/11 Attacks

Over 30% Seek Immediate Impeachment and 67% also fault 9/11 Commission for not investigating anomalous collapse of World Trade Center 7

Kansas City, MO (Zogby International) September 6, 2007 - As America nears the sixth anniversary of the world-churning events of September 11, 2001, a new Zogby International poll finds a majority of Americans still await a Congressional investigation of President Bush’ and Vice President Cheney’s actions before, during and after the 9/11 attacks. Over 30% also believe Bush and/or Cheney should be immediately impeached by the House of Representatives.

The 911truth.org–sponsored poll also found that over two-thirds of Americans say the 9/11 Commission should have investigated the still unexplained collapse of the 47-story World Trade Center Building 7 at 5:20 p.m. on September 11, 2001.

WTC 7 housed the mayor’s emergency bunker and offices of the SEC, IRS, CIA and Secret Service and was not hit by any planes but still completely collapsed into its own footprint nearly eight hours after the Twin Tower attacks. FEMA did not explain this collapse, the 911 Commission ignored it, and the promised official study by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is now 2 years overdue.

Janice Matthews, executive director of poll sponsor 911truth.org, observes:

“The supermajority response to the WTC Building 7 question signals an increasing public concern about this remarkable event — up from 38% last year. We can perhaps credit this rising awareness to the millions who have recently witnessed videos or Youtube clips of this skyscraper’s descent and the outspoken demands for a new WTC inquiry from over 150 architects and engineering professionals, including NIST’s own former Fire Science Division Chief, Dr. James Quintiere. Another contributory factor is the increased questioning among Hispanics, Blacks and Asians whose responses appear significantly more critical of the 9/11 Commission than Whites, sometimes twice as critical.”

Strategy aide W. David Kubiak adds,

“While only 32% seek immediate Bush and/or Cheney impeachment based on their current personal knowledge, a clear majority of citizens still seems hungry for a full exposure of the facts. The results suggest widespread public support for legislators like Rep. Dennis Kucinich who pledge to investigate unanswered 9/11 questions in the relevant congressional committees this fall. We hope more of our representatives find the spine to respond to this escalating dissatisfaction with the dubious accounting we have received thus far.”

9/11 family member and 911truth.org advisor Donna Marsh O’Connor notes,

“I’m not sure this poll is at all surprising. Over half of those polled want more answers from Congress, from those they hired to represent them. One quarter of the country knows enough to want to impeach both. Doesn’t it just mean people need figures they consider credible to tell them whether key details add up or not? Truth advocates need to press their case in Congress, on college campuses, in church groups with reason and absolute discipline regarding what can and cannot be proven. The strongest evidence needs to reach the people—including people who hate computers. We must present it calmly. Like whispering so that people reach in to hear.”

DECLARE IT NOW! Wear Orange Campaign!

(Cue the revolution music!)

Gee, I bet that’ll rein in our runaway Congress! …That‘ll show the Bush Administration who’s got the big & powerful… um… color orange!

Let’s see…the Bush Regime has agent orange in their arsenal as well an army of Fox News pundits that can convince the American Public that an apple is an orange, but the “radical” World Can’t Wait organization has decided to arm their followers with bandannas… THAT ARE ORANGE!!!!!!!

Oh… I see…
So, you mean… that’s it?

Meanwhile, Dictator Bush decider-ed from the beginning of these wars that Agent Orange’s long term effects aren’t destructive enough for the Iraqis (and our own soldiers)…and chose instead — Depleted Uranium. At least he’s finally done something for the world to remember him by… for the next 4.5 BILLION YEARS!

In response, World Can’t Wait has finally arrived at the perfect, bold strategy:

In courageous solidarity with those who are still being tortured, they will… wear ORANGE!

(I’ve watched enough television in my life to know that if this were a made-for-tv-movie, World Can’t Wait would be killed off by the first commercial.)

In all fairness to World Can’t Wait, at least they try to look tough, the other peace groups must live on milk toast alone. Do these groups actually believe peace can come without addressing the conflicting information that caused the “war on terror” in the first place? Why don’t they point out who are the enemies to our life and liberty and who clearly are not.

Until they do this, peace won’t have a chance.

On the eve of Noble Resolve

For Portland’s sake, I hope this turns out as wrong as the April 6th Iran strike prediction.

This is an urgent advisory notice from concerned citizens of Oregon and Washington about an upcoming U.S. Joint Forces Command emergency management exercise known as NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2 that will simulate terrorism or disaster scenarios in the Lower Columbia River Basin between Aug. 20th and Aug 24th, 2007.

NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2 was designed and will be directed by U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) and the Department of Homeland Security. We are aware of no public notice concerning this exercise, but preliminary investigation has revealed that Oregon National Guard officials and federal officials will conduct the drill. Details from official sources are minimal.

This advisory is to document our concerns, raise public awareness and urge citizen action based on the following facts:

1. NOBLE RESOLVE is a computer-based simulation of a large-scale emergency situation (e.g. earthquake, hurricane, tsunami, or terrorist attack with nuclear weapon) in order to train for managing all aspects of the emergency response through comprehensive software.

2. Military exercises such as NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2 have a recent history of coinciding with lethal “live” events. This occurred both at the start of Desert Storm in 1990 and on 9/11/01 when five or more major military or security exercises were in progress on the very day of the actual attacks. The same phenomenon occurred with the London Bombings of 7/7/05 during which a drill concerning multiple bomb attacks was being staged on that day.

3. Vice President Cheney, Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff and former Senator Rick Santorum have all warned of a new 9/11 attack this summer, but are giving no evidence in support. Chertoff based his prediction on a “gut feeling”.

4. The May 2007 Presidential Directive NSPD 51 (HSPD 20) addressing “continuity of government” in the event of a massive emergency, includes secret “annexes” which are pertinent additional documents. Some US Congressional Committee on Homeland Security members such as Rep. Peter DeFazio have written to formally request permission to review these secret “annexes” and have twice been denied access by the White House.

5. This particular exercise, NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2, includes one scenario involving an unaccounted for, “loose,” ten kiloton nuclear weapon, exactly as Vice President Cheney hinted in recent interviews. Department of Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff claims he fears the same.

6. The plummeting support for the GOP has triggered comments from its members and analyses of its current political strategy that point to a new 9/11 attack as a contributing factor to GOP political salvation. Moreover, it appears that legends or back stories are being disseminated to support just such an event.

Transparency concerning NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2 is vital for the public safety of everyone in the Lower Columbia River Basin. We call on the planners, directors and participants in NOBLE RESOLVE 07-2 to be vigilant and to maintain transparency with respect to these military exercises. We also urge citizens and our elected officials to monitor the activities of participants connected with the exercises and alert authorities to any suspicious behavior. These exercises have an established pattern of becoming “live” events. (Please read references below.)

General Strike: 9/11/07

Why strike? Why on 9/11?

September 11 is a day of mourning and reflection, but it should also be a day of dissent and action.

Since the tragics events of 9/11/01, America has fallen under a spell of fear and deception. The government peddles lies and steadily chips away at our democratic rights. Hundreds of thousands have been killed in the Iraq war—mostly civilians. Torture, surveillance, tyranny, empire. Many of us can recognize the fascistic direction of this government. But what do we do?

The time has come to let go of our fear—to stand up to lies and tyranny with passion and urgency. To connect with others and show our collective power. It’s time to realize that we’ve got nothing to lose. The time is now.

The General Strike is a national call to action, from citizens to other citizens. It is not about a single issue. It is not an anti-war protest, a civil rights protest, an election fraud protest. It is not about torture, surveillance, corporate media, the 9/11 coverup, or the environment. This strike is about all these issues and more.

We all have different concerns, but we all have the same concern: we are being lied to and this government does not represent us. Join other Americans in demanding truth, justice, and accountability.

This our country.
And our world.
We just have to stand up.
