Ron Paul’s Fort Wayne Freedom Rally

I went with a couple Ohio Freedom Alliance friends to the Freedom Rally in Fort Wayne, Indiana yesterday to hear Dr. Paul speak.

After a three hour drive and lots of fun libertarian conversation, we arrived at the University and got seats in the eighth row. Matt and I quickly handed out over 150 copies of the newest Liberty Voice. They were actually coming up to us and grabbing them out of our hands. Then I looked out at the crowd and they were all reading them, it was such a great sight!

His speech pretty much summed up his whole platform (you know, that whole “Constitution.. freedom.. liberty” crap) and reaffirmed that the Revolution is indeed far from over.

The whole auditorium was filled up, the enthusiasm was palpable, and by the time he was done speaking my hands were sore from clapping.

The evening was perfectly capped off when I got the chance to shake his hand and have him sign my copy of his new book, “The Revolution: A Manifesto.”

YES— I finally met RON PAUL!!! And I gave him a copy of The Liberty Voice, how amazing!

There’s another write-up about the event on NolanChart.com, check it out. Here’s a link to my photos and here’s a clip of his speech, hopefully I’ll be able to find a full version soon:

Today’s the Day, Ohio. VOTE RON PAUL!

RON PAUL 2008

“In this possibly terminal phase of human existence,
democracy and freedom are more than just ideals to be valued —
they may be essential to survival.”
- Noam Chomsky

It’s Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 — Primary Day in Ohio!

Today is the day Ohioans will be tested. Will they vote with their hearts? With their common sense? With their conscience? Will they vote for the man who will bring ALL our troops home NOW? Will they block out CNN, the biased newspapers, and the talking heads? Will they forget the buzz words like “electability”, “long-shot”, and “poll numbers?” Will they realize those are the media’s words, and the media is not voting today, WE are?

You don’t have to tell me twice that our voting system is jacked up. Especially in Ohio. It’s 2008 and we can’t make a machine that can print out a receipt of who we voted for??

That’s no excuse. YOU know who YOU voted for.

I hope my fellow Ohioans will maintain a hint of American idealism and head to the polls for Ron Paul.

By law the polls are required to be open from 6:30AM – 7:30PM. If you’re in Franklin County, click here to find out your polling location information. Union County, click here. Delaware County, click here. Anybody else I missed, if you need help finding out your information, please contact me and I’ll get it for you ASAP! You can also search the Ohio Secretary of State’s website.

“Democracy forever teases us with the contrast between its ideals and its realities, between its heroic possibilities and its sorry achievements.”
- Agnes Repplier

This is your day, Ohio. Do you want heroic possibilities, or sorry achievements?

I’M VOTING FOR RON PAUL TODAY.

Bill Clinton confronted by Ohio 9/11 Truthers @ Hillary rally

My friends Anthony and Cody had a chance to teach Bill Clinton about 9/11 Truth at a recent Ohio rally.

But wait— I thought Bill Clinton was a good guy? The peace-keeping Democrat who was so much better than W? My friends often cite his involvement in the creation of AmeriCorps, a program near and dear to my heart.

That’s great and all but what about when he bombed Bosnia? And bombed Yugoslavia? Passed NAFTA? Passed DOMA? Passed the Telecommunications Act of 1996? Passed the Line Item Veto Act? Approved the use of Extraordinary Rendition? And don’t forget, he bombed Iraq too. And what’s this I hear about “Arkancide” and the “Bilderberg Group“? Yes, all great and wonderful moments in Clinton history…

“You know what this guy thinks? This guy thinks 9/11 was an inside job. You know what I think? I think 9/11 was murder committed by foreign terrorists associated with Al Q’aeda.”

Well, Bill you have a point, I mean the CIA does match that description…

Cody and Anthony, I love you both dearly, you’re an inspiration!
Keep fighting the good fight. Truth always prevails.

Ron Paul Questioned Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke Today

Ron Paul serves as Ranking Member of the “Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology”, which equals Helicopter Ben‘s worst nightmare!

“A topic that is on the lips of many people during the past few months, and one with which I have greatly concerned myself, is that of moral hazard. We hear cries from all corners, from politicians, journalists, economists, businessmen, and citizens, clamoring for the federal government to intervene in the economy in order to forestall a calamitous recession.”

Congressman Ron Paul’s Hearing Statement – February 27th, 2008

Ron Paul has repeatedly called for the abolition of the Federal Reserve, the private bank that prints our worthless dollars and is responsible for the inflation of our currency and enslavement of every American.

These videos CLEARLY show that Ron Paul truly understands the economic mess this country is in. It’s pointless to listen to McCain, Hillary, or Obama drone on about health care, gay marriage, or abortion because none of those issues will matter once this country descends into the deep depression towards which it’s heading.

If we want REAL FREEDOM, we MUST free ourselves from the chains of the Federal Reserve, and that will only happen if Ron Paul becomes President.

“Since the creation of the Federal Reserve, middle and working-class Americans have been victimized by a boom-and-bust monetary policy. In addition, most Americans have suffered a steadily eroding purchasing power because of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary policies.”

Congressman Ron Paul – September 10th, 2002

Ron Paul on Feb. 2nd MTV Debate

Who would have thought MTV would be RP’s most fair-and-balanced TV appearance yet?

I think he got more minutes of speaking time than all of the MSNBC & CNN debates combined, sad but true. Check it out:

Part I

8 min. The audio on his mic is screwy at first, it gets fixed about 2:42 minutes in. In this clip, RP addresses the United States’ role in Darfur and other international humanitarian issues, birth control affordability, post-9/11 actions, and the real causes of terrorism.

Part II: Young People Just Want Freedom!

9.5 min. Telling it like it is (as he always does) about the economy, the dreaded “R” word, our dependence on foreign oil, and a message to undecided voters.

Part III: Bring Our Troops Home from EVERYWHERE!

8 min. U.S. foreign policy, staying in the race (from 11 candidates to 4!), not running our lives, RP’s closing statement: the real issues, challenging the status quo, lame closing comments from WP reporter.

Super Tuesday Tomorrow: BRING IT ON!

Columbus Dispatch prints Ron Paul letter

Last week, about 30 members of the Columbus Ron Paul Meetup group marched in Columbus’ annual MLK Jr. Day parade downtown. We made up about 10% of the crowd (estimated at 300 marchers) and yet the Columbus Dispatch’s only mention of us was their reference to “…a large sheet of Tyvek home wrap inscribed with a presidential candidate’s name” AKA Ben’s HUGE Ron Paul Revolution banner.

In response to this pathetic and overt exclusion, Tim wrote a Letter to the Editor, which was surprisingly printed in today’s Dispatch:

Media routinely overlook Ron Paul

Tuesday, January 29, 2008

I attended my first Martin Luther King Jr. march on Jan. 21. It was pretty cold, but overall it was very rewarding and I’ll do it again. Mostly because I love the King message of peace, civil liberties and judging people based on the content of their character, not the color of skin.

I attended wearing my Ron Paul hat and lapel button and joined maybe 30 other Paul supporters who had signs and banners. Many people were curious about Paul and approached us asking questions, wanting information, asking for buttons and yard signs. Those of us who campaign for Paul are used to people not knowing who he is because many media outlets snub him. So when I read last Tuesday’s Dispatch article “In bitter cold, King’s message forges on,” and it mentioned “a large sheet of Tyvek home wrap inscribed with a presidential candidate’s name,” I was appalled, but not surprised.

The candidate whose name was missing from the story was Ron Paul.

The Ron Paul Revolution is a revolution of love, for peace, prosperity and freedom. Paul is the only genuine anti-war candidate in the race and the most ardent civil-rights supporter of the lot. He views people as individuals, not as groups.

All of this falls perfectly in line with King’s message. For those wishing to support a candidate who truly embodies the legacy of one of the greatest civil-rights leaders of all time, come find out how we share the dream: www.RonPaul2008.com.

TIM WELSH

Great job Tim! Here is another great example— not only of the mainstream media’s perpetual exclusion of the Ron Paul Revolution, but also how important it is for us to never be passive media consumers. We must continue to let the MSM know we are not only watching them, but also that we will forever hold them accountable to reporting the truth. Lies by omission will never be tolerated!

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

- Martin Luther King Jr.
