National Day of Support for Constitutional, Sound Money

This is a HEADS UP to everyone who cares about their future –
in 4 days patriots will meet in 38 cities across the country to End the Federal Reserve and we need YOU there!

Are you ready to step away from the computer and join us?

WHY //

The Federal Reserve is an unconstitutional institution (see U.S. Constitution, Section 8, Clause 5) that drains the wealth of the American people through the inflationary process.

Despite silence on the true cause of our financial mess, every day it becomes more and more apparent that the #1 issue in our country is the economy and the falling dollar. Who is to blame for this? Who is printing all the money that drives down the value of our dollar? Who controls the interest rates upon which the fate of our banks, credit cards, loans, mortgages, and lives depend? These are very important questions to ask yourself.

One needn’t be an economist to understand: the Federal Reserve is neither federal, nor do they have any reserves. Our dollars are no longer backed by gold or silver. It is a “fiat” currency, and every economy that has used fiat currency in the past has ultimately collapsed. It’s time we demand that Congress END THE FED.

On November 22, 1910 the Federal Reserve Act was conceived at a private meeting of elite bankers. Ninety-eight years after its conception, we will gather to signal the end of its reign!

Patriots from across the country will join together to protest the Federal Reserve system. Activists will demand an END to private banker control over the nation’s money supply and the return to a hard, commodity backed monetary system.

WHERE //

All 38 Federal Reserve locations

WHEN //

This Saturday, November 22nd @ 12pm

DON’T FORGET //

Signs, banners, bullhorns, drums, whatever you need to make a statement.

FIND YOUR LOCAL FED //

While you’re waiting for the magical CHANGE pill to kick in, ponder this:

What do these four companies have in common?

Citigroup

JPMorgan Chase

Goldman Sachs

Morgan Stanley

Give up? They were all top donors to Barack Obama and John McCain.

This is classic banker strategy, prop up BOTH candidates, so either way— they win.

How, exactly, do they win? Well, for starters, take a look at potential candidates for Obama’s Treasury Secretary:

Lawrence Summers, Treasury Secretary under Bill Clinton and World Bank economist

Timothy Geithner, President of New York Federal Reserve and Treasury Undersecretary under Bill Clinton

Paul Volcker, former Federal Reserve Chairman

Jon Corzine, former Chairman of Goldman Sachs

Jamie Dimon, head of JPMorgan Chase and Company

So, CHANGE is going to come in the form of putting either a former Clinton official and/or a former Wall St. big wig in charge of the Treasury Department.

That CHANGE is about as refreshing as room temperature coffee that’s been sitting in my car for a week.

Think about it. Really think about. Is it in the best interest of this country to put someone even remotely tied to the Federal Reserve Banking system — comprised of private bankers who profit IMMENSELY from federal gov’t. spending — in CHARGE of federal gov’t. spending?!

For now though, while people are still in their Barack the Vote dream land, he’s pretending like he gives a damn about what YOU THE PEOPLE think, and is asking for ideas to “help us solve the biggest challenges facing our country.”

If this post pisses you off (it should!), I strongly urge you to head over to the website and tell him what you think.

What did I suggest to him?

I told the President-Elect that if he really wants to fix this jacked up economy, instead of incessantly TREATING THE SYMPTOMS with complicated tax breaks and stimulus packages, he needs to CURE THE DISEASE by using the bully pulpit of the office of the President to urge Congress to abolish the Federal Reserve System.

Congressman Ron Paul has already introduced the legislation necessary to do so, the paperwork is already done. Ending the Fed and returning to a Constitutional sound monetary system where our currency isn’t printed and regulated by a private bank would do WONDERS for our economy, and it’s what the founding fathers had always intended.

I have many friends who voted for this guy. I hope anyone who truly adores and trusts Mr. Obama to bring forth this utopian Yes We Can! world will give him a real loyalty test and demand real changes, not recycled chunks of status quo.

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies… The issuing power (of money) should be taken away from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs.”

- Thomas Jefferson

Former presidential candidate Ron Paul was interviewed Friday morning by CNN anchor John Roberts on “American Morning.”

Paul, a Republican from Texas, spoke from his home in Clute, Texas. The topic of the discussion was the current economic crisis and the Capitol Hill testimony Thursday of former Fed chief Alan Greenspan.

John Roberts, CNN anchor: Up there on the Hill, Alan Greenspan was basically saying, “Oops, I missed this one, sorry about it,” but he was optimistic for the future. Congressman Paul, do you even listen to him anymore?

Rep. Ron Paul: I have to because somebody like you might ask me a question about him.

No, I don’t really listen in the sense that I’m going to get a lot of new information. I used to listen to him when he was writing back in the ’60s because he agreed with free market economics and no respect for the Federal Reserve.

Lately, though, I mean, he’s been part of — and right now he’s really gotten bad because what he was saying yesterday was that the only place where he might have made a mistake is he didn’t advocate more regulations.

Well, if you’re a true free market person it isn’t the lack of regulations. Trying to regulate and improve on the conditions that the government creates. I mean we created this problem. The Federal Reserve created this. The Community Reinvestment Act created it. The FDIC created it. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac created it.

It was all seen there but now he says if we could have only had more regulations …

Roberts: Right.

Paul: …we could have salvaged this clogged system.

Roberts: Well, you believe that markets can be or should be self-regulating?

Paul: Well, to a degree, but the government does have a responsibility to deal with fraud, but the monetary system is fraudulent. Instead of perpetuating fraud in the monetary system they should be dealing with real fraud.

But just regulating prices — that’s what they’re doing now, they’re trying to regulate prices and set prices for these assets that hasn’t — have no value. So, no, that’s not the kind of regulation we want, but there is certainly a role for regulations.

We should be regulating the Federal Reserve system is what we really ought to be regulating.

Roberts: Well, regardless of what we talk about this morning, the Dow is going to go off a cliff again today so let me turn to politics if I could.

A lot of people have said, particularly because of the economy, this is a bad year to be a Republican. John McCain behind in the national polls, seems to be behind in the battleground states as well. He’s got a long and difficult road if he hopes to win the Oval Office.

If Republicans really take a beating, Congressman Paul, on November the 4th, where does that leave the Republican brand?

Paul: Well, I think they’re in big trouble, but I think I mentioned that a year or so ago, that they’ve sort of lost their way. No, it’s going to be a lot worse, but you have to say that the markets aren’t being reassured about the obvious victory that’s going to occur.

Then they said, “Oh, my, you know, we’re going to have Obama and a Democratic Congress stronger than ever so things are going to get a lot better.” They haven’t discounted that yet.

The country is in a mess regardless, but I think the Republican Party really in a mess because …

Roberts: I mean, I mean how …

Paul: …they’ll probably lose a fair amount of seats again.

Roberts: How bad a blow could it be and how long might it take the party to rebuild?

Paul: You know, I was first elected — I first ran in 1974, and I think there were about 145 members of Congress, Republicans, then. It took 20 years. So that is the case. But, you know, I think it’s secondary to what the Congress is doing.

If both parties have bad ideas, it doesn’t matter a whole lot. Right now …

Roberts: And I wanted to ask you about …

Paul: …I think both parties follow those ideas.

Roberts: You’re on the ballot in a couple of states. You’re on the ballot in Louisiana. You’re also on the ballot in Montana, and in Montana you were polling 4 percent there.

That’s exactly the difference between Senator McCain and Barack Obama with Barack Obama on top. I mean you could be the spoiler here and take Montana away from Senator McCain, and I know that some Republicans, friendly to you, say hey, get off the ballot in Montana. You tried, you couldn’t.

How are you going to feel if because of you McCain loses Montana?

Paul: Well, I think it will be a pretty far stretch if McCain loses the election that they’re going to blame me. I haven’t been campaigning in Montana. People who are supporting out there are spontaneous. They’re enthusiastic. They don’t like either candidate.

So I don’t think the person whose name they picked is the one that does the spoiling. I think there’s something else that is wrong. Maybe it’s the flawed policies of both candidates.

Roberts: Congressman Paul, it’s always good to see you. Thanks for joining us this morning. We’ll check back with you again soon.

Paul: Thank you. Good to be with you.

Dear Mr. Voinovich,

As I promised in my previous communications on this matter, thanks to your treasonous vote in support of the Wall St. Bailout plan, I will never again vote for you. I don’t care who may run against you, whether they be Democrat, Republican, Socialist, whatever– I will never, ever give you my vote.

You should be immensely ashamed of yourself and tried for treason along with many of your colleagues. Instead of standing up as a hero for our Constitution, you sold out our great republic to the bankers.

I will never again address you as Senator Voinovich because you are indeed NOT worthy of such a label. You are a traitor, and nothing else.

Sincerely,

9/29 UPDATE: The $1.8 TRILLION Bailout <strike>Bill</strike> Scam was DEFEATED today in the House!

Thanks to the 228 Patriots who did their job defending the Constitution and the countless Americans who did their job as citizens by speaking up— via petitions, forums, phone calls, letters, emails, faxes, etc. WE DID IT.

Here’s how Ohio Representatives voted:

Rep. Steve Chabot (R-1) – AGAINST

Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-2) – AGAINST

Rep. Michael Turner (R-3) – AGAINST

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-4) – AGAINST

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-17) – FOR

Rep. Zack Space (D-18) – FOR

Today is a GREAT victory BUT we must keep the pressure on.

The bill will inevitably come up for another vote and only 13 Reps need to change their vote in order for it to pass. Keep emailing/faxing/writing/calling!! Click here for a PDF you can fax for free using FaxZero.com.

Ohioans, say THANKS to Chabot, Schmidt, Turner, Jordan, Latta, Kaptur, Kucinich, Tiberi, Sutton, and LaTourette. Send PINK SLIPS to Wilson, Hobson, Boehner, Pryce, Regula, Ryan, and Space… they’re fired.

There is much to be said about the Wall St. bailout plan. I’m short on time so I’ll let the brilliant Ron Paul do the talking: My Answer to the President.

Ohioans, call these numbers and say NO to ANY kind of Wall St. bailout:

Senator Brown: 202-224-2315

Senator Voinovich: 202-224-3353

Congresswoman Pryce (15th district): 202-225-2015

Congressman Tiberi (12th district): 202-225-5355

All other districts: 202-224-3121

Then head over to NoCashForTrash.org and check out the many petitions they have listed.

They also have lots of other resources available, everything you need to JUST SAY NO.

“What would possess people to drive 4 hours in the rain to a city they’ve never been in to ask questions of politicians that cannot even hear their voices? Because the alternative is doing nothing. Wake up please!”

- Statement in We Are Change Ohio’s latest video

Obama was asked yesterday by my friends with We Are Change Ohio about the Federal Reserve and the dollar crisis — aka the ECONOMY, stupid.

Being the perfect puppet that he is, his response was that “the dollar can be strengthened again once our economy is strengthened.”

Yes, that was really his response. So it has nothing to do with the money supply, eh? Nothing to do with printing and printing until we run out of ink? Money backed by gold is just a silly thing of the past? We just need more “faith” and suddenly our dollars become worth something again? Why didn’t anybody else think of that?!

Now I finally understand what the big deal is with Obama. He’s BRILLIANT!

Of course the crowd clapped wildly at such a marvelous answer. Such good little sheep…

Pay no attention to this pesky data Mr. Obama!

He then feigned ignorance when asked about his foreign policy advisor, Zbigniew Brzezinski.

In case you’ve never heard of this elitest puppeteer, he co-founded the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller and has all kinds of shady past political dealings I could cite here. He’s Dick Cheney’s soul mate, basically. Nothing about him says “CHANGE.”

Pay no attention to this picture of Brzezinski with Bin Laden in the 70′s Mr. Obama!

At the end of the video you’ll also see Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown, Ohio Governor Ted Strickland, and Senator Obama asked whether they’d support a new 9/11 investigation that the family members are calling for. All of them responded by not responding.

Whoever is considering throwing away their vote on this puppet of the elites and bankers, please consider the impact it will have on your children and how you will go about raising them in a depression. Do you know how to collect and purify rainwater? Do you know how to can your own food after you’ve harvested it? Do you know how to speak Chinese? Do you know how to start a fire using Federal Reserve Notes as kindling? If not, you may want to reconsider your vote.

Without further ado, the video:

WHEW!

I just got in from D.C., back from the Ron Paul Revolution March. My inbox is overflowing and the RSS updates are in the thousands. But PeaceChicken.com comes first!

Before I forget, I want to share a video of my recent interaction with Ohio Congressman Pat Tiberi.

I saw him at the Delaware County Parade (I was marching with The Liberty Voice) and decided to ask him about the unconstitutional FISA bill which recently passed through the Senate (FYI, Obama voted YES to spy on Americans.) Tiberi’s response? He turned around and started talking to someone else. The Fourth Amendment obviously not a big concern to him. Fortunately I had my Bill of Rights with me and kindly reminded him what it said.

This is Congress. This is who we’re relying on to save this country. They wear flag pins on their suit lapels and march in Fourth of July Parades, but when it comes time to actually stand up and defend the U.S. Constitution — they turn their back.

The good news that THEY are on their way out and WE’RE on our way in. This weekend at the D.C. Revolution March there were thousands of REAL PATRIOTS from across the country who took over Constitution Avenue and spent the day listening to amazing speakers like G. Edward Griffin, Naomi Wolf, Chuck Baldwin, and Ron Paul.

Together we marched against FISA, against the IRS, against the Federal Reserve, against REAL I.D., against the North American Union, against the war, against attacking Iran, against McCain, against Obama, against the false and dividing left/right paradigm, against everything that’s taking our country down. We marched FOR freedom, FOR liberty, FOR the Constitution, FOR the Bill of Rights, FOR limited government, FOR our Founding Fathers, FOR PEACE!

Aside from the obvious highlights, I also easily handed out a few hundred copies of The Liberty Voice and was interviewed by the National Journal Online (hopefully I’ll have a link for that to post soon, as well as my photos.) If you want to see some of the fun, there are lots of videos already uploaded here from fellow-marchers.

Also this weekend, another Patriot, someone I’m very proud to call my friend (and member of We Are Change Ohio) got the chance to ask McCain a very important question, live on CNN, at a recent town hall event in Portsmouth, Ohio.

He said to McCain:

“Can you tell us about your role as president of the ‘New Citizen Project,’ founded in 1994, which served as a chief fund-raising and parent organization to PNAC? And is this one of the factors that has made you so reluctant to support the victims’ family members and first responders who are begging for a new investigation into 9/11?”

Can you guess what McCain’s response was? YOU GOT IT! Once again, another member of Congress responded by not answering the question. He just rambled on about how he was a co-sponsor of the legislation that formed the 9/11 Commission and how great that Commission was (what a joke!!) Are we seeing a trend here?

Meanwhile… the U.S. banking crisis got some fresh momentum on Friday when there was a run on California-based IndyMac bank, resulting in their seizure by the Federal Reserve. That marked the second largest bank failure in U.S. history.

Short on its tails, ready to fail, are federally-chartered and now privately-owned Fanny Mae (AKA Federal National Mortgage Association) and Freddy Mac (AKA Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation), which together guarantee half the mortgages in the country. Of course the Federal Government, Congress, and the Federal Reserve are vehemently denying any problem, but still stand ready and eager to bail them out with OUR TAX DOLLARS (last time I checked, the Constitution said nothing of spending We the People’s tax dollars to save failing businesses.) Which of course won’t work. It’s a band-aid on a blown-off leg. The dollar crash is starting, my friends. Buy some gold and silver (here’s why) then hold on.

Yeah, I know, I have a lot of bad news in this post, sorry. I’m also sorry that I’m not done yet, because Bush has given Israel the thumbs up to attack Iran.

Given our unwavering support of Israel ($6.8 million a DAY, to be precise), of course the U.S. will be by their side in no time. Another attack on a sovereign country that poses no threat is ready to be launched. A third front for our poor soldiers in the Middle East and millions more dead civilians. Another yawn comes from the mouth of mainstream media.

It’s another day in the neighborhood, folks. One by one, the dominoes are falling as predicted. Don’t say you weren’t warned.

How many of these news stories does it take to wake people up and move them to action?

Dr. Ron Paul has put out three excellent videos this past week, I couldn’t decide which I wanted to post more, so I’m going to include them all.

Speaking of the great RP — Some people may wonder how I’ve kept so quiet about the ending of his campaign. Indeed, I was surprised by my eventual calm as well. (I say “eventual” because my close friends know I was anything but calm for about a week.) It’s because I finally realized that Ron Paul’s campaign for President may officially be over, but the messages and principles he taught us continue to live on indefinitely. The millions of us who voted for him are now blessed with a knowledge of what the often-used but little-understood phrase “freedom and liberty” means.

Albert Einstein said:

“Those with the privilege to know, have a duty to act.”

If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you know what’s up. You and I, we MUST continue to carry forth the vision our Founding Fathers [and Mothers] had in mind for this country. That means thinking outside the box. Past this election. Beyond the left/right liberal/conservative paradigm that is perpetuated only to divide us while they continue on with their nefarious plans. United behind liberty, however, we are indivisible and unstoppable.

Keeping all that in mind, I STILL LOVE RON PAUL and always will! He continues to spread the knowledge and messages we’ve all grown to know and love— therefore, WE CONTINUE and THE REVOLUTION continues.

Without further ado, let’s start off the weekend right!

Great video #1: Ron Paul comments on the Federal Reserve‘s decision Wednesday to maintain interest rates and raises concerns about inflation. (5 min.)

Next up, Ron Paul’s Floor speech on Iran & foreign policy. (6 min.)

Delivered yesterday, Paul condemns H. Con. Res. 362, the “virtual war resolution” soon to be considered by the House of Representatives. The bill already has 208 co-sponsors, and will likely be voted on after the 4th of July holiday. A related bill is being worked on in the Senate, with 29 Cosponsors. Many of the cosponsors are Democrats.

And finally, now that you’re all pumped up, Dr. Paul cordially requests your presence at the July 12 Revolution March and Rally. (1 min.)

BONUS VIDEO— because I like you. We Are Change Ohio took on John McCain and got covered live on CNN! (10 min.)

Props to my friends Cody, Anthony, Sam, and Brad. Not only did you trojan horse yourself into mainstream media coverage, but you also got a great mention of Blair Gadsby’s hunger strike for 9/11 Truth and how McCain refused to speak with him, even after 16 days of fasting.

While John McCain’s solutions for our recessed/depressed economy are non-existent, Obama is calling for more inflation by means of a $50 BILLION economic stimulus (which would be paid for… how, exactly?? Oh, just print/borrow more money? Great idea, Obama, you must work for the Federal Reserve!)

Meanwhile, Dr. Ron Paul is STILL being honest with the American people by telling it like it is and calling for REAL SOLUTIONS.

Why someone truly concerned about our economy would vote for anybody besides Ron Paul is beyond me.

Rising Energy Prices and the Falling Dollar

By Congressman Ron Paul
Monday, June 9th, 2008

Oil prices are on the minds of many Americans as gas hits $4 a gallon, and continues to surge. How high can prices go? How can we solve these problems? What, or who, is to blame?

Part of the answer lies in understanding bubbles and monetary inflation, but especially the Federal Reserve System. The Federal Reserve is charged with controlling inflation through interest rate manipulation, however, many fail to realize that creating money, and therefore inflation, is really its only tool. When the Federal Reserve inflates the dollar as drastically as it has in the past few decades, the first users of the newly created money go in search of investments for their dollars. They must invest this money quickly and aggressively before it loses value. This causes certain sectors to expand beyond what would naturally occur in the free market. Eventually the sector overheats and the bubble bursts. Over-investment in dot-coms eventually led to a collapse of the NASDAQ. Next we had the housing bubble, and now we are seeing the price of oil being bid up in the creation of another new bubble. Investors are now looking to commodities like oil, for stability and growth as they pull capital out of real estate. This increased demand for investment vehicles related to oil contributes to driving up the price of the actual product.

If the Fed continues with its bubble blowing policies of the past, the new commodities bubble will continue to grow, gas prices will continue to go up, as the value of your dollars go down. We will see an over-investment in these commodities as solutions are desperately sought for a supply shortage, which is only part of the problem. Make no mistake, though, this is not the free market at work. Government manipulations have added levels of complication and unintended consequences to the marketplace.

This is not the time for members of Congress to take political potshots at each other, or to imagine that the free market is somehow to blame. This is the time to understand and fix problems.

That begins with making sure the decision makers have a firm grasp on the causes of the problems and possible effects of their decisions. This is absolutely crucial if we want to get it right this time. That is why I am in the process of calling for hearings on Capitol Hill on how the falling value of the dollar affects energy prices.

Governments need to get out of the way and let the people get back to work so that we can get our economy back on stable footing. Our destructive regulatory environment, confiscatory tax policies, and managed, rather than free trade have chased many businesses overseas. The bottom line is average Americans are being seriously hurt by these flawed policies, and they are not getting good information about the true dynamics at work.

The important thing now is to get the diagnosis absolutely correct so we can administer the appropriate treatment and move on to a healthier economic future. To do this it is absolutely necessary to address the subjects of central banking and fiat money.
