President Ron Paul = Good as Gold

This is basic cause and effect in action, my friends: Gold hit $1,000/oz. today, while investors and news anchors are busy acting surprised that the markets are crashing after The Federal Reserve was nice enough to print another $200 billion of imaginary money.

Here’s what Ron Paul had to say to Congress about gold and The Federal Reserve back in April of 2006, I highly encourage you to read the full statement:

“Holding gold is protection or insurance against government’s proclivity to debase its currency. The purchasing power of gold goes up not because it’s a so-called good investment; it goes up in value only because the paper currency goes down in value. In our current situation, that means the dollar.

…The Fed tries to keep the consumer spending spree going, not through hard work and savings, but by creating artificial wealth in stock market bubbles and housing bubbles. When these distortions run their course and are discovered, the corrections will be quite painful.

…If ever there was a time to get a handle on what sound money is and what it means, that time is today.”

In case you’re somehow still oblivious to this fact: Ron Paul knows his s—t when it comes to economics. So once again, I say to my fellow citizens: THIS COUNTRY NEEDS RON PAUL AS PRESIDENT, or we’re f—ked, quite simply.

Ron Paul for President

Dr. Paul has been speaking out about the necessity of a sound monetary system for years. Decades even. Just yesterday he made these comments to the House of Representatives regarding the 2009 Federal Budget:

“Mr. Chairman, I am pleased to address the House tonight about the budget because there has been a lot of concern expressed here today on both sides of the aisle about the kind of financial trouble we’re in. And there’s no doubt about that. But sometimes I think we go back and forth spending more time blaming each other rather than dealing with the real problem.

One of the contentions I’ve had about the budget is that we look at it as an accounting problem rather than a philosophy problem because the spending occurs because of what we accept as the proper role of government. And right now, it’s assumed by the country as well as the Congress that the proper role of government is to run our lives, run the economy, run the welfare state, and police the world. And all of a sudden, it puts a lot of pressure on the budget.

Today, the national debt is going up almost $600 billion. And the economy is getting weaker, there’s no doubt about it. We’re in a recession, it’s going to get much worse, which means that the deficit is going to get a lot worse. And I’m predicting within a couple of years, it will not surprise me one bit to see the national debt, the national obligation for future generations to rise in 1 year three-quarters of $1 trillion. And that is a very possible number.

Today’s the Day, Ohio. VOTE RON PAUL!

RON PAUL 2008

“In this possibly terminal phase of human existence,
democracy and freedom are more than just ideals to be valued —
they may be essential to survival.”
- Noam Chomsky

It’s Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 — Primary Day in Ohio!

Today is the day Ohioans will be tested. Will they vote with their hearts? With their common sense? With their conscience? Will they vote for the man who will bring ALL our troops home NOW? Will they block out CNN, the biased newspapers, and the talking heads? Will they forget the buzz words like “electability”, “long-shot”, and “poll numbers?” Will they realize those are the media’s words, and the media is not voting today, WE are?

You don’t have to tell me twice that our voting system is jacked up. Especially in Ohio. It’s 2008 and we can’t make a machine that can print out a receipt of who we voted for??

That’s no excuse. YOU know who YOU voted for.

I hope my fellow Ohioans will maintain a hint of American idealism and head to the polls for Ron Paul.

By law the polls are required to be open from 6:30AM – 7:30PM. If you’re in Franklin County, click here to find out your polling location information. Union County, click here. Delaware County, click here. Anybody else I missed, if you need help finding out your information, please contact me and I’ll get it for you ASAP! You can also search the Ohio Secretary of State’s website.

“Democracy forever teases us with the contrast between its ideals and its realities, between its heroic possibilities and its sorry achievements.”
- Agnes Repplier

This is your day, Ohio. Do you want heroic possibilities, or sorry achievements?

I’M VOTING FOR RON PAUL TODAY.

Fourth Down and Inches.

Touchdown for Ron Paul!

THIS IS IT FOLKS.
All eyes are on us and Texas.

You really want Ron Paul for President? — It’s time to EARN IT!

Get your butt out there. One last weekend. If not the two events organized by the Columbus Ron Paul Meetup, do something else, ANYTHING. There are over 106,000 of us in Ron Paul Meetup groups across the country — compared to 19,600 for Huckabee, 7,200 for Obama, 1,750 for Hillary, and zero for McCain. The numbers are in our favor, we just have to convert them to ACTION.

As we’ve heard before, it’s all a game of inches.

Time to push on for a few more critical ones, just enough to get the first down. If you don’t wanna push on for yourself, push on for everyone in Ohio. Everyone in our country. All the soldiers overseas who are COUNTING on us to get them back home safely. The 3,973 soldiers who came back home in boxes.

You need more motivation? Download some Ron Paul R3volution music, I’ve uploaded a dozen great songs to my website just for you, turn up the volume, rock out, then hit the streets this weekend!

We’re in hell right now, gentlemen. Believe me. And, we can stay here, get the s–t kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell… one inch at a time.

The inches we need are everywhere around us. They’re in every break of the game, every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when add up all those inches, that’s gonna make the f–king difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!

I’ll tell you this, in any fight it’s the guy whose willing to die whose gonna win that inch. And I know, if I’m gonna have any life anymore it’s because I’m still willing to fight and die for that inch, because that’s what living is, the six inches in front of your face. Now I can’t make you do it. You’ve got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think you’re going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team, because he knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him. That’s a team, gentlemen, and either, we heal, now, as a team, or we will die as individuals. That’s football guys, that’s all it is. Now, what are you gonna do?

- Any Given Sunday

I’m looking at YOU. Will you go these last few inches with me?

Ron Paul Questioned Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke Today

Ron Paul serves as Ranking Member of the “Subcommittee on Domestic and International Monetary Policy, Trade and Technology”, which equals Helicopter Ben‘s worst nightmare!

“A topic that is on the lips of many people during the past few months, and one with which I have greatly concerned myself, is that of moral hazard. We hear cries from all corners, from politicians, journalists, economists, businessmen, and citizens, clamoring for the federal government to intervene in the economy in order to forestall a calamitous recession.”

Congressman Ron Paul’s Hearing Statement – February 27th, 2008

Ron Paul has repeatedly called for the abolition of the Federal Reserve, the private bank that prints our worthless dollars and is responsible for the inflation of our currency and enslavement of every American.

These videos CLEARLY show that Ron Paul truly understands the economic mess this country is in. It’s pointless to listen to McCain, Hillary, or Obama drone on about health care, gay marriage, or abortion because none of those issues will matter once this country descends into the deep depression towards which it’s heading.

If we want REAL FREEDOM, we MUST free ourselves from the chains of the Federal Reserve, and that will only happen if Ron Paul becomes President.

“Since the creation of the Federal Reserve, middle and working-class Americans have been victimized by a boom-and-bust monetary policy. In addition, most Americans have suffered a steadily eroding purchasing power because of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary policies.”

Congressman Ron Paul – September 10th, 2002

Opening Statement (3 min.):

Questions (5 min.):

Do You Really Support the Troops?

Yes, YOU.

I’m asking you flat out.
I’m questioning your patriotism.

Do you REALLY support the troops?

Then the question of who should be the next President of the United States is quite simple.

We’re quickly approaching the FIVE YEAR commemoration of the invasion and occupation of Iraq. This argument is well beyond a question of whether or not you sport a yellow ribbon on the back of your car. It’s beyond whether you think we should “stay the course”, set a timetable for leaving, or get out immediately. It’s beyond being a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green, Libertarian, etc. It’s about being an AMERICAN and a HUMAN BEING.

The fact is— every day that passes is another day our soldiers are being killed and maimed.

“The greatest purveyor of violence in the world today is my own government.”
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

If you claim to support the troops, if not the war itself, shouldn’t you also support the candidate the troops support the most? The man who will bring them home NOW, still ALIVE?

It’s not Barack. It’s not Hillary. It’s not McCain. It’s Ron Paul.

Any excuses— dismissals of “he can’t win”, “I’m not a Republican”, or lapses in electoral faith are not going to save our troops. Understandable lapses in faith, of course. But in the end: YOU know who YOU voted for.

The Ron Paul Revolution is far from over. Not because Primary Day hasn’t yet arrived. Not because the Republican National Convention hasn’t come. Not because Election Day hasn’t arrived. But because our troops are still over there. Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Africa… They’re everywhere but HERE. That is why I REFUSE to throw in the flag for the Revolution, and I hope the rest of you will do the same.

So I’m calling you out. Let me ask you again:

Do YOU support the troops?
PROVE IT.

Vote for Ron Paul.

“The chain reaction of evil — wars producing more wars — must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.”
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Sidenote: If this post makes you uncomfortable, angry, whatever— if you think your chosen candidate DOES enable you to honestly say you support the troops, please leave me a comment and refute my accusations, I welcome your thoughts!

John McCain in Columbus tomorrow

John McCain, the supposed Republican front-runner Presidential candidate, will be in town tomorrow evening.

Probably to raise money— considering he has less than $3 million cash-on-hand and is over $4 million in debt (compared to Ron Paul’s $8 million cash-on-hand and ZERO debt.) How is a supposed front-runner so strapped for cash? Can we blame this on the inflation tax too?

You may remember McCain saying that he wouldn’t mind staying in Iraq for 100 years. That easily explains why the troops donate the most to Ron Paul, they’re sick of endless war!

Despite the cognitive dissonance that gets stirred up when one contemplates the candidacy of John McCain, some people are still considering voting for him!

>> They think they have no choice anymore.
>> They think it’s already been decided.
>> They don’t seem to realize the Ohio Primary is still two weeks away.

Please join the Columbus Ron Paul group at tomorrow night’s event to remind our fellow voters that there is a MUCH better choice. One your conscience — and the troops — can live with.
